INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY

I begin each new therapeutic relationship with the intention to be curious about, witness, understand, enjoy, and respect every individual I work with. There is so much potential in you for change and expansion. Sometimes therapy can look like talking through the fears you have about therapy itself.

I draw upon modalities of analysis and attachment to form a holistic understanding of you in the context of your personal and familial history. I work relationally, which means we'll explore aspects of our relationship as therapist and patient to learn about how you relate to other people in your life. As your self- awareness increases, you'll find you have more choices, confidence, adaptability, and freedom.

My approach is spacious, direct and personal. I listen deeply and carefully, and offer honest reflections. In this way, therapy acts as a powerful mirror through which you can see and understand yourself more clearly, and make changes that have lasting impacts of your life.

Sometimes symptoms are our best attempt at avoiding painful memories, fears, or keeping the self alive and whole.
